Article 20: Competition Authority

Part Three: Organisation

The Competition Authority, having public legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy, has been established in order to ensure the formation and development of markets for goods and services in a free and sound competitive environment, to monitor the implementation of this Law, and to perform the duties assigned to it by the Law.

The Ministry to which the Authority is related is the Ministry of Trade.

The Authority is independent in the performance of its duties. No organ, authority, body or person may give orders or instructions for the purpose of influencing the final decision of the Authority.

The headquarters of the Authority is in Ankara.

MADDE 20 · Rekabet Kurumu

Mal ve hizmet piyasalarının serbest ve sağlıklı bir rekabet ortamı içinde teşekkülünün ve gelişmesinin temini ile bu Kanunun uygulanmasını gözetmek ve Kanunun kendisine verdiği görevleri yerine getirmek üzere kamu tüzelkişiliğini haiz idari ve mali özerkliğe sahip Rekabet Kurumu teşkil edilmiştir.

Kurumun ilişkili olduğu Bakanlık, Ticaret Bakanlığıdır.

Kurum görevini yaparken bağımsızdır. Hiçbir organ, makam, merci ve kişi Kurumun nihai kararını etkilemek amacıyla emir ve talimat veremez.

Kurumun merkezi Ankara'dadır.
