Chapter Four: Common Provisions
(1) Applications relating to the acquisition and loss of Turkish citizenship shall be made in person, or by means of a power of attorney for the exercise of this right, to the governorship of the place of residence if within the country, or to the foreign missions if abroad.

MADDE 37 · Vatandaşlık işlemlerinde müracaat makamı ve usul
(1) Türk vatandaşlığının kazanılması ve kaybına ilişkin başvurular yurt içinde ikamet edilen yer valiliğine, yurt dışında ise dış temsilciliklere bizzat veya bu hakkın kullanılmasına ilişkin vekâletname ile yapılır.
