(1) The Ministry may, upon their request, provide address information to institutions in electronic form within the framework of the Identity Sharing System, in accordance with procedures and principles to be determined by the Ministry.(21)
(2) Mukhtar offices that have completed their technical infrastructure may access the Identity Sharing System for the purpose of monitoring whether the domicile address information within their areas of responsibility is up to date.
(3) Institutions shall take as the basis the address information kept at the General Directorate in the business and transactions they carry out.
(4) Information and documents relating to addresses may be obtained from civil registry directorates and from mukhtar offices that are connected to the Identity Sharing System and able to produce documents in conformity with the records in that system. The security of documents produced in this manner shall be ensured in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Ministry.
(5) MERNİS population information shall be used in population censuses or counts, in the compilation of family and vital statistics and in the application of laws that take this information as their basis.

MADDE 52 · Adres bilgilerinin kullanımı
(1) Bakanlık, talepleri halinde kurumlara, usûl ve esasları Bakanlıkça tespit edilmek üzere adres bilgilerini elektronik ortamda Kimlik Paylaşımı Sistemi çerçevesinde verebilir.(21)
(2) Teknik altyapısını tamamlamış olan muhtarlıklar sorumluluk alanlarındaki yerleşim yeri adres bilgilerinin güncelliğini takip etmek amacıyla Kimlik Paylaşımı Sistemine erişebilirler.
(3) Kurumlar, yürütecekleri iş ve işlemlerde Genel Müdürlükte tutulan adres bilgilerini esas alırlar.
(4) Adrese ilişkin bilgi ve belgeler nüfus müdürlüklerinden, Kimlik Paylaşımı Sistemine bağlanarak bu sistemdeki kayıtlara uygun belge üretebilen muhtarlıklardan temin edilebilir. Bu şekilde üretilen belgelerin güvenliği Bakanlığın tespit ettiği usûl ve esaslara göre sağlanır.
(5) Nüfus sayımında veya tespitinde, aile ve hayatî istatistiklerin oluşturulmasında ve bu bilgileri esas alan kanunların uygulanmasında MERNİS nüfus bilgileri kullanılır.
