Added: this is the provision of the provisional article introduced by Law No. 2009, Art. 2, of 11/5/1976, numbered for the sake of sequence.
The period of validity of passports issued for workers currently working in foreign countries shall, upon application at the end of the period, be extended for up to five years, unless the person concerned requests an extension for a shorter period. The worker's spouse and children shall also benefit from this provision.

Halen yabancı ülkelerde çalışmakta olan işçiler için düzenlenen pasaportların geçerlik süresi; süre bitiminde müracaat halinde, ilgili daha kısa süre için uzatılmasını istemediği takdirde, beş yıla kadar uzatılır. İşçinin eş ve çocukları da bu hükümden yararlanır.
