Part Two: Conduct of Civil Registration Services › Chapter Two: Characteristics of Civil Registry Records
(1) Civil registry records shall be taken as the basis in transactions carried out by institutions in relation to a person. Where there is a discrepancy between records, no change shall be made to the civil registry records; the other records shall be corrected in accordance with the applicable procedure.

MADDE 10 · Resmî işlemlerde esas alınması
(1) Kurumlarda kişiyle ilgili olarak yapılan işlemlerde nüfus kayıtları esas alınır. Kayıtlar arasında farklılık olması halinde nüfus kayıtlarında değişiklik yapılmaz, usûlüne göre diğer kayıtlar düzeltilir.
