Article 9: Confidentiality

Part Two: Conduct of Civil Registration Services › Chapter Two: Characteristics of Civil Registry Records

(1) Civil registry records and the documents on which the keeping of these records is based are confidential. They may not be viewed or examined by anyone other than the authorised and responsible officials and persons with powers of inspection and supervision. Courts are outside the scope of this provision.

(2) Officials who enter this information in civil registry records and other personnel who make use of civil registry records within the scope of the Identity Sharing System are likewise obliged to observe this confidentiality. This obligation shall continue after public officials leave their posts.

MADDE 9 · Gizlilik

(1) Nüfus kayıtları ve bu kayıtların tutulmasına dayanak olan belgeler gizlidir. Bunlar, yetkili ve sorumlu memurlar ile teftiş ve denetim yetkisi olanlar dışında kimse tarafından görülüp incelenemez. Mahkemeler bu hükmün dışındadır.

(2) Nüfus kayıtlarına bu bilgileri işleyen memurlar ve Kimlik Paylaşımı Sistemi kapsamında nüfus kayıtlarından faydalanan diğer görevliler de bu gizliliğe uymak zorundadırlar. Bu yükümlülük, kamu görevlilerinin görevlerinden ayrılmalarından sonra da devam eder.
