Article 67: Untrue declaration

Part Eleven: Penal Provisions

(1) Village or neighbourhood mukhtars who issue an untrue domicile document or identity card request document, persons who make untrue declarations to the civil registry directorate in connection with any transaction, and persons who witness such declarations shall be punished with imprisonment from six months to four years.

(2) Public officials who fail to fulfil obligations relating to addresses or who act contrary to prohibitions shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237 of 26/9/2004 relating to offences against the reliability and functioning of the public administration.

MADDE 67 · Gerçek dışı beyan

(1) Gerçeğe aykırı yerleşim yeri veya cüzdan talep belgesi veren köy veya mahalle muhtarları ile herhangi bir işlem sebebiyle nüfus müdürlüğüne gerçek dışı beyanda bulunanlar ve bunlara tanıklık edenler altı aydan dört yıla kadar hapis cezası ile cezalandırılır.

(2) Adrese ilişkin yükümlülükleri yerine getirmeyen ve yasaklara aykırı hareket eden kamu görevlileri 26/9/2004 tarihli ve 5237 sayılı Türk Ceza Kanununun kamu idaresinin güvenirliğine ve işleyişine karşı suçlara ilişkin hükümlerine göre cezalandırılır.
