(1) A separate family register shall be kept for each neighbourhood or village. Family registers shall contain the following information:
a) Republic of Türkiye identity number.
b) The name of the province, district, village or neighbourhood in which the person is registered, together with the volume, family and individual sequence numbers.
c) The person's first name and surname, sex, father's and mother's names and surnames, and the previous surnames of married women.
ç) Place of birth, date of birth by day, month and year, and date of entry in the register.
d) Changes occurring in personal status, such as marriage, divorce, establishment or denial of filiation, death, and acquisition or loss of citizenship, or corrections made by competent authorities.
e) Religion.
f) Marital status.
g) Address of domicile.

(2) Citizens who do not have a family register in Türkiye and who reside in foreign countries shall be registered in a family register to be opened at a civil registry directorate designated by the Ministry.

MADDE 7 · Aile kütüklerinde bulunması gereken kişisel bilgiler
(1) Her mahalle veya köy için ayrı aile kütüğü tutulur. Aile kütüklerinde aşağıdaki bilgiler bulunur:
a) Türkiye Cumhuriyeti kimlik numarası.
b) Kayıtlı bulunduğu il, ilçe, köy veya mahalle adı ile cilt, aile ve birey sıra numarası.
c) Kişinin adı ve soyadı, cinsiyeti, baba ve ana adı ile soyadları, evli kadınların önceki soyadları.
ç) Doğum yeri ile gün, ay ve yıl olarak doğum tarihi ve kütüğe kayıt tarihi.
d) Evlenme, boşanma, soybağının kurulması veya reddi, ölüm, vatandaşlığın kazanılması veya kaybedilmesi gibi kişisel durumda meydana gelen değişiklik veya yetkili makamlarca yapılan düzeltmeler.
e) Dini.
f) Medenî hali.
g) Yerleşim yeri adresi.
ğ) Fotoğrafı.
