Chapter Two: Principles Governing the Proceedings
(1) The judge shall be bound by the relief sought by the parties; he or she may not award more than that or something else. Depending on the circumstances, he or she may award less than the relief sought.
(2) The provisions of law under which the judge is not bound by the requests of the parties are reserved.

MADDE 26 · Taleple bağlılık ilkesi
(1) Hâkim, tarafların talep sonuçlarıyla bağlıdır; ondan fazlasına veya başka bir şeye karar veremez. Duruma göre, talep sonucundan daha azına karar verebilir.
(2) Hâkimin, tarafların talebiyle bağlı olmadığına ilişkin kanun hükümleri saklıdır.
