(1) A pyramid sales scheme is a system of unrealistic or very hard to realise expectations of gain which, in return for its participants contributing a certain amount of money or assets, gives them the hope of an opportunity to gain money or assets on condition that they find other participants for the system under the same conditions, and which makes the obtaining of the asset gain wholly or partly dependent on the other participants also acting in accordance with the conditions.
(2) The establishment, dissemination or recommendation of a pyramid sales scheme is prohibited.
(3) The Ministry is authorised to carry out the necessary examinations concerning pyramid sales schemes and to take the necessary measures in cooperation with the relevant public institutions or organisations, including, where applicable, the suspension of the electronic system in our country.

MADDE 80 · Piramit satış sistemleri
(1) Piramit satış; katılımcılarına bir miktar para veya malvarlığı ortaya koymak karşılığında, sisteme aynı şartlar altında başka katılımcılar bulma koşuluyla bir para veya malvarlığı kazancı olanağı ümidi veren ve malvarlığı kazancının elde edilmesini tamamen veya kısmen diğer katılımcıların da koşullara uygun davranmasına bağlı kılan, gerçekçi olmayan veya gerçekleşmesi çok güç olan kazanç beklentisi sistemidir.
(2) Piramit satış sisteminin kurulması, yayılması veya tavsiye edilmesi yasaktır.
(3) Bakanlık, piramit satış sistemleri ile ilgili gerekli incelemeleri yapmaya ve varsa elektronik sistemin ülkemizde durdurulması dâhil ilgili kamu kurum veya kuruluşlarıyla iş birliği içinde gerekli önlemleri almaya yetkilidir.
