In the event of the death of one of the holders of rented safe deposit boxes with them, banks may not permit (except for a determination to be made by the judge of the civil court of peace) the box to be opened unless an authorised officer of the tax office is present, nor permit its contents to be taken by the heirs, legal representatives or attorneys unless the contents have been determined in the presence of that officer.

Bankalar nezdlerindeki kiralık kasa sahiplerinden birinin ölümü halinde (Sulh hakimi tarafından yapılacak tesbit hariç) vergi dairesinin salahiyetli bir memuru hazır bulunmadıkça kasanın açılmasına ve bu memur huzurunda tesbit edilmedikçe muhteviyatının mirasçıları veya kanuni temsilcileri veya vekilleri tarafından alınmasına müsaade edemezler.
