The State shall monitor, supervise and inspect the implementation of legislation relating to working life. This duty shall be performed by labour inspectors attached to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security who are authorised to inspect and supervise, in a number and with qualifications sufficient to meet the need.
Added paragraph: 13/2/2011, Law No. 6111, Art. 77; Amended paragraph: 12/10/2017, Law No. 7036, Art. 13 Upon applications of employees concerning their individual receivables arising from the law, the employment contract and the collective labour agreement, action may be taken pursuant to the provision of paragraph 1, provided that the employment contract is continuing.
Proceedings relating to the subject matter and results of the supervision and inspection of military workplaces and of workplaces producing materials necessary for national security shall be carried out in accordance with a regulation to be prepared jointly by the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Devlet, çalışma hayatı ile ilgili mevzuatın uygulanmasını izler, denetler ve teftiş eder. Bu ödev Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığına bağlı ihtiyaca yetecek sayı ve özellikte teftiş ve denetlemeye yetkili iş müfettişlerince yapılır.
(Ek fıkra: 13/2/2011-6111/77 md.; Değişik fıkra: 12/10/2017-7036/13 md.) İşçilerin kanundan, iş ve toplu iş sözleşmesinden doğan bireysel alacaklarına ilişkin başvuruları üzerine, iş sözleşmesinin devam etmesi kaydıyla birinci fıkra hükmü uyarınca işlem yapılabilir.
Askeri işyerleriyle yurt güvenliği için gerekli maddeler üretilen işyerlerinin denetim ve teftişi konusu ve sonuçlarına ait işlemler Milli Savunma Bakanlığı ile Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığınca birlikte hazırlanacak yönetmeliğe göre yürütülür.
