Article 275: False oath

Book Two: Special Provisions › Part Four: Offences against the Nation and the State, and Final Provisions › Chapter Two: Offences against the Administration of Justice

(1) A claimant or defendant who swears a false oath in civil actions shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of one to five years.

(2) Where the truth is told before judgment is rendered in the action, no penalty shall be imposed.

(3) Where the truth is told before the judgment is put into enforcement or becomes final, the penalty to be imposed shall be reduced by one-half.

MADDE 275 · Yalan yere yemin

(1) Hukuk davalarında yalan yere yemin eden davacı veya davalıya bir yıldan beş yıla kadar hapis cezası verilir.

(2) Dava hakkında hüküm verilmeden önce gerçeğin söylenmesi halinde, cezaya hükmolunmaz.

(3) Hükmün icraya konulmasından veya kesinleşmesinden önce gerçeğin söylenmesi halinde, verilecek cezanın yarısı indirilir.
