Article 18: II. Prohibition of forced labour

PART TWO: FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND DUTIES › CHAPTER TWO: Rights and Duties of the Individual

No one shall be required to perform forced labour. Unpaid compulsory labour (angarya) is prohibited.

The following shall not be considered forced labour: work required during periods of serving a sentence or of pre-trial detention, the form and conditions of which shall be regulated by law; services required from citizens during a state of emergency; and physical or intellectual work in the nature of a civic duty provided for in fields where the needs of the country so require.

MADDE 18 · II. Zorla çalıştırma yasağı

Hiç kimse zorla çalıştırılamaz. Angarya yasaktır.

Şekil ve şartları kanunla düzenlenmek üzere hükümlülük veya tutukluluk süreleri içindeki çalıştırmalar; olağanüstü hallerde vatandaşlardan istenecek hizmetler; ülke ihtiyaçlarının zorunlu kıldığı alanlarda öngörülen vatandaşlık ödevi niteliğindeki beden ve fikir çalışmaları, zorla çalıştırma sayılmaz.
