Article 13: Visas issued at border gates

Part Two: Foreigners › Chapter One: Entry into Türkiye and Visas

(1) A visa may exceptionally be issued at border gates to foreigners who arrive at border gates without a visa, provided that they document that they will leave Türkiye within the allowed period.

(2) Border visas shall be issued by the governorships to which the border gates are attached. The governorship may delegate this authority to the law enforcement unit on duty at the border. Unless a different period is determined by the President of the Republic, this visa shall grant the right to stay in Türkiye for a maximum of fifteen days.

(3) In issuing a border visa, the requirement of health insurance may be waived on humanitarian grounds.

MADDE 13 · Sınır kapılarında verilen vizeler

(1) Vize almadan sınır kapılarına gelen yabancılara, süresi içinde Türkiye’den ayrılacaklarını belgelemeleri hâlinde, sınır kapılarında istisnai olarak vize verilebilir.

(2) Sınır vizesi, sınır kapılarının bağlı olduğu valiliklerce verilir. Valilik bu yetkisini sınırda görevli kolluk birimine devredebilir. Cumhurbaşkanınca farklı bir süre belirlenmediği sürece, bu vize Türkiye’de en fazla on beş gün kalma hakkı sağlar.

(3) Sınır vizesinin verilmesinde, insani nedenlere bağlı olarak sağlık sigortası şartı aranmayabilir.
