Article 16: Cancellation of visas

Part Two: Foreigners › Chapter One: Entry into Türkiye and Visas

(1) Visas shall, in the following cases:

a) Where it is established that the visa is the subject of forgery,

b) Where it is found that erasures, scratches or alterations have been made on it,

c) Where the visa holder is banned from entering Türkiye,

ç) Where there is strong suspicion that the foreigner may commit an offence,

d) Where the passport or the document substituting for a passport is forged or has expired,

e) Where the visa or visa exemption is used for purposes other than its intended purpose,

f) Where it is found that the conditions or documents on which the issuance of the visa was based are not valid,

be cancelled by the authorities that issued the visa or by the governorships.

(2) Where a deportation decision is taken in respect of the foreigner within the validity period of the visa, the visa shall be cancelled.

MADDE 16 · Vizenin iptali

(1) Vizeler;

a) Sahteciliğe konu olduğunun tespiti,

b) Üzerinde silinti, kazıntı veya tahrifat yapıldığının anlaşılması,

c) Vize sahibinin Türkiye’ye girişinin yasaklanması,

ç) Yabancının suç işleyebileceği yönünde kuvvetli şüphe bulunması,

d) Pasaport veya pasaport yerine geçen belgenin sahte olması veya geçerliliğinin sona ermesi,

e) Vize veya vize muafiyetinin amacı dışında kullanılması,

f) Vizenin verilmesine temel olan şartların veya belgelerin geçerli olmadığının anlaşılması,

hâllerinde, vizeyi veren makamlar veya valiliklerce iptal edilir.

(2) Vizenin geçerlilik süresi içinde yabancıyla ilgili sınır dışı etme kararı alınması hâlinde vize iptal edilir.
