Article 229: Begging

Book Two: Special Provisions › Part Three: Offences Against Society › Chapter Seven: Offences against Public Morality

(1) A person who uses children, or persons who are physically or mentally incapable of managing themselves, as instruments for begging shall be punished with imprisonment from one to three years.

(2) Where this offence is committed by relatives by blood or by marriage up to and including the third degree, or by a spouse, the penalty to be imposed shall be increased by one half.

(3) Where this offence is committed within the framework of the activities of an organisation, the penalty to be imposed shall be increased by onefold.

MADDE 229 · Dilencilik

(1) Çocukları, beden veya ruh bakımından kendini idare edemeyecek durumda bulunan kimseleri dilencilikte araç olarak kullanan kişi, bir yıldan üç yıla kadar hapis cezası ile cezalandırılır.

(2) Bu suçun üçüncü derece dahil kan veya kayın hısımları ya da eş tarafından işlenmesi halinde verilecek ceza yarı oranında artırılır.

(3) Bu suçun örgüt faaliyeti çerçevesinde işlenmiş olması halinde, verilecek ceza bir kat artırılır.
