Passport Law

Article 12

The passports to be issued in the name of the Republic of Türkiye and the documents intended to serve in their place are the following:

A) Passports:

I - Diplomatic passports;

II- Special passports (bearing a special stamp);

III - Service passports (bearing a service stamp);

IV - Ordinary passports (issued individually or jointly);

V - Passports for foreigners.

B) Amended: 19/6/1984, Decree-Law No. 240; adopted without amendment: 7/11/1984, Law No. 3073, Art. 3 Documents valid in lieu of a passport:

I. Laissez-passer, administrative letters and border crossing documents,

II. Seafarer's books, and documents issued to the officials and crew of railway and air transport vehicles,

III. Travel documents and similar documents.

MADDE 12

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti namına verilecek pasaport ve bunların yerini tutmaya mahsus vesikalar şunlardır:

A) Pasaportlar:

I - Diplomatik pasaportlar;

II- Hususi damgalı pasaportlar;

III - Hizmet damgalı pasaportlar;

IV - Umuma mahsus pasaportlar (Münferit veya müşterek olur);

V - Yabancılara mahsus pasaportlar.

B) (Değişik: 19/6/1984 - KHK 240; Aynen kabul: 7/11/1984 - 3073/3 md.) Pasaport yerine geçerli vesikalar:

I. Pasavanlar, idari mektuplar ve hudut geçiş belgeleri,

II. Gemiadamı cüzdanları, demiryolu ve hava ulaşım araçları memur ve mürettebatına verilen vesikalar,

III. Seyahat belgesi ve benzeri belgeler.
