(1) Foreigners may apply for a residence permit appropriate to the new purpose of stay where the grounds on which the residence permit was granted cease to exist or where different grounds arise.
(2) The procedures and principles concerning transitions between residence permits shall be regulated by regulation.

MADDE 29 · İkamet izinleri arasında geçişler
(1) Yabancılar, ikamet izninin verilmesine esas olan gerekçenin sona ermesi veya farklı bir gerekçenin ortaya çıkması hâlinde, yeni kalış amacına uygun ikamet izni talebinde bulunabilir.
(2) İkamet izinleri arasındaki geçişlere ilişkin usul ve esaslar yönetmelikle düzenlenir.
