Article 33: Begging

Part Two: Various Misdemeanours

(1) A person who engages in begging shall be imposed an administrative fine of fifty Turkish Lira. In addition, the income obtained from begging shall be seized and its confiscation shall be decided.

(2) For this misdemeanour, the administrative fine and seizure shall be decided by law enforcement officers or municipal police (zabıta) officers, and confiscation shall be decided by the local administrative chief (mülkî amir) or the municipal executive committee (belediye encümeni).

MADDE 33 · Dilencilik

(1) Dilencilik yapan kişiye, elli Türk Lirası idarî para cezası verilir. Ayrıca, dilencilikten elde edilen gelire elkonularak mülkiyetin kamuya geçirilmesine karar verilir.

(2) Bu kabahat dolayısıyla idarî para cezasına ve elkoymaya kolluk veya belediye zabıta görevlileri, mülkiyetin kamuya geçirilmesine mülkî amir veya belediye encümeni karar verir.
