Article 187: Making or selling medicines in a manner endangering the life and health of persons

Book Two: Special Provisions › Part Three: Offences Against Society › Chapter Three: Offences Against Public Health

(1) A person who produces or sells medicines in a manner endangering the life and health of persons shall be given a penalty of imprisonment from one to five years and a judicial fine.

(2) Where this offence is committed by a physician or pharmacist, or within the scope of the practice of a profession or trade carried out on the basis of an official permit, the penalty to be imposed shall be increased by one third.

MADDE 187 · Kişilerin hayatını ve sağlığını tehlikeye sokacak biçimde ilaç yapma veya satma

(1) Kişilerin hayatını ve sağlığını tehlikeye sokacak biçimde ilaç üreten veya satan kimseye bir yıldan beş yıla kadar hapis ve adlî para cezası verilir.

(2) Bu suçun tabip veya eczacı tarafından ya da resmi izne dayalı olarak yürütülen bir meslek ve sanatın icrası kapsamında işlenmesi halinde, verilecek ceza üçte bir oranında artırılır.
