Article 173: Causing an explosion by atomic energy

Book Two: Special Provisions › Part Three: Offences Against Society › Chapter One: Offences Creating General Danger

(1) A person who, by releasing atomic energy, causes an explosion and thereby causes significant danger to the life, health or property of another shall be punished with imprisonment of not less than five years.

(2) Where the act defined in the preceding paragraph is committed negligently, a penalty of imprisonment from two to five years shall be imposed.

MADDE 173 · Atom enerjisi ile patlamaya sebebiyet verme

(1) Atom enerjisini serbest bırakarak bir patlamaya ve bu suretle bir başkasının hayatı, sağlığı veya malvarlığı hakkında önemli ölçüde tehlikeye sebebiyet veren kişi, beş yıldan az olmamak üzere hapis cezası ile cezalandırılır.

(2) Yukarıdaki fıkrada tanımlanan fiilin taksirle işlenmesi halinde, iki yıldan beş yıla kadar hapis cezasına hükmolunur.
