(1) To the witness:
a) Before being heard, the importance of telling the truth,
b) That he or she will be punished for the offence of perjury if he or she fails to tell the truth,
c) That he or she will take an oath to tell the truth,
d) That he or she may not leave the courtroom during the hearing without the express permission of the presiding judge or the judge,
Shall be explained.

MADDE 53 · Tanığa görevinin önemini anlatma
(1) Tanığa;
a) Dinlenmeden önce, gerçeği söylemesinin önemi,
b) Gerçeği söylememesi halinde yalan tanıklık suçundan dolayı cezalandırılacağı,
c) Doğruyu söyleyeceği hususunda yemin edeceği,
d) Duruşmada mahkeme başkanı veya hâkimin açık izni olmadan mahkeme salonunu terk edemeyeceği,
