If enforcement proceedings cannot be taken against the debtor because the debtor is abroad, has gone fraudulently bankrupt, or because of the liquidation of the debtor's estate, the limitation shall not run for as long as these circumstances continue.
The limitation shall begin from the end of the day on which the causes of suspension cease, or, if it had begun before the suspension, shall continue to run.

Borçlunun yabancı memlekette bulunması, hileli iflas etmesi veya terekesinin tasfiyesi dolayısiyle hakkında takibat yapılmasına imkan yoksa bu hallerin devamı müddetince zamanaşımı işlemez.
Zamanaşımı, işlememesi sebeplerinin kalktığı günün bitmesinden itibaren başlar veya durmasından evvel başlamış olan cereyanına devam eder.
