An employee whose wage is not paid within twenty days from the payment date, other than due to force majeure, may refrain from performing the obligation to work. Their non-performance of the obligation to work on the basis of their personal decisions for this reason may not be characterised as a strike even if it acquires a collective character in numerical terms. The highest interest rate applied to deposits shall be applied to wages not paid on time.
The employment contracts of such employees may not be terminated on the ground that they are not working for this reason, new employees may not be hired in their place, and such work may not be assigned to others.

MADDE 34 · Ücretin gününde ödenmemesi
Ücreti ödeme gününden itibaren yirmi gün içinde mücbir bir neden dışında ödenmeyen işçi, iş görme borcunu yerine getirmekten kaçınabilir. Bu nedenle kişisel kararlarına dayanarak iş görme borcunu yerine getirmemeleri sayısal olarak toplu bir nitelik kazansa dahi grev olarak nitelendirilemez. Gününde ödenmeyen ücretler için mevduata uygulanan en yüksek faiz oranı uygulanır.
Bu işçilerin bu nedenle iş akitleri çalışmadıkları için feshedilemez ve yerine yeni işçi alınamaz, bu işler başkalarına yaptırılamaz.
